The primary purpose of the role is to provide expert instructional design knowledge and practice, working within a team environment to design high quality interactive online content. As an Instructional Designer you will be involved in the full cycle of design; from concept to project management and through to delivery. This role will be working closely with the Program Lead Education and Resources.
Key accountabilities / Tasks
  • Design and develop online learning content following agreed processes and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the new guidelines, processes, systems and user experiences.
  • Design, develop and deliver engaging training materials and programs in accordance with the project requirements. Apply best practice instructional design and methods following industry standards.
  • Assist in scoping, writing and designing appropriate learning materials to meet different end user needs.

  • Developing rapport and building acceptance across differing stakeholders.
  • Maintaining project momentum with limited stakeholder availability.
  • Balancing the competing needs and expectations of stakeholders.
  • Essential requirements
  • Demonstrated skill in the design of high quality interactive online content using storyboards, detailed graphic design, learning content, activities and assessments
  • Demonstrated skill in editing and proofreading content with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience of integrating audio, video, screen simulations and animations using eLearning development tools
  • Knowledge of learning theories and principles relevant to the effective design and implementation of online learning, including assessment and feedback
  • Excellent project management skills, including capacity to work within tight timeframes and budgets and monitor progress effectively
  • Ability to work autonomously, effectively plan, organise and prioritise work tasks.
