This Federal Government Agency is looking for a JavaScript (React, Typescript) Software Engineer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain the frontend applications using modern technology and techniques
  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using the Javascript programming language
  • Work with a variety of technologies including single page application frameworks, micro-frontend architectures, RESTful APIs and OAuth2/OIDC
  • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with other developers, designers, and product managers.

Essential skills

  • demonstrated experience developing rich applications with HTML5/CSS/JavaScript;
  • highly skilled in React/Typescript and proficient in using functional components with hooks;
  • experience implementing and developing in ReactJS (preferred) or other SPA frameworks;
  • experience working with OAuth2/ODIC authentication in front-end applications;
  • ability to write high-performance, reusable UI code and appropriate unit testing;
  • experience with cross-browser/device development;
  • extensive knowledge of software design patterns and best practices;
  • experience with frontend applications that are compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards;
  • experience with debugging and resolving performance issues.

Security Clearance required: Australian Citizen with NV1, or at least a Baseline Security Clearance with the ability to obtain NV1.

Work arrangement : 2 days per week onsite (Sydney CBD)
