Our client is a small but very important organisation in the not-for-profit sector promoting health related awareness and support to millions of sufferers in Australia.

 

The Data Specialist is a newly created position, that will be critical in providing data insights to both internal stakeholders as well as third party research and education partners. It is a pivotal role that will enhance the organisation’s data maturity  and journey towards data analytics best practice.

 

The main focus of the role is to assist the organisation in gaining a holistic view of their data which is currently mostly stored in SharePoint as well as third party apps connected through Zapier. 

The goal is to move to a more modern and best practice model consisting of AWS, Snowflake and PowerBI.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Analyse and consolidate data from various sources, including SharePoint, a Marketing Automation CRM and other customer facing apps.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify data needs and structure and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Utilise your knowledge of Snowflake to optimise data storage and retrieval and build a data warehouse.
  • Move the data from SharePoint to AWS for storage
  • Automate existing data manipulation processes that are current completed manually

 

Your ideal background will include :

  • Strong proven experience in data analytics, manipulation, migration and reporting
  • Strong experience with PowerBI for data visualisation and reporting.
  • Proficiency in managing and extracting insights from Snowflake.
  • Experience with SharePoint data structures and best practices, including moving the data into AWS.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and a passion for data analytics.

This role would suit an individual with a passion for data and analytics and a desire to make a real impact, while working for a small organisation in the not-for-profit sector where you will be the data ‘go-to-person”.

This role will be offered as a permanent position.

The work arrangement will be hybrid and you will be expected to be based in the Chatswood office 2-3 days per week.

This position offers a competitive base salary, plus super and up to $15,900 per annum worth of salary sacrifice.
